Snow Emergency Declaration

Wrightsville Borough is issuing a snow emergency, starting at 10:00am on Sunday, January 19, 2025 until 12:00pm on Monday, January 20, 2025.

Vehicles must be moved from the snow emergency routes or they may ticketed and towed.   The police will NOT issue any warnings.
The snow emergency was declared to ensure the safety of our community by allowing Public Works Crew to clear the streets.

BOROUGH SNOW EMERGENCY ROUTES

South Snow Emergency Routes:
100 block of Orange Street, no parking on North side.
200 block of South Second Street, no parking on the East side.
100 block of South Second Street, no parking on both sides and no parking in the parking triangle adjacent to bridge entrance.

100 block of Chestnut Street, no parking.

200 block of Chestnut Street—parking is permitted on South side

North Snow Emergency Routes:
100 block of North Second Street, no parking on East side.

Locust Street from Front Street to Cool Springs Road, no parking on South side.

SNOW & ICE ON SIDEWALKS

Pursuant to the Code of Ordinances,

Chapter 21, Part 3, §301, Regulations:

Within the Borough limits, property owners are required to remove all snow and ice from the sidewalks within 24 hours after the snowfall has ended.

Eastern York Workcamp Initiative (EYWI)
FREE HOME REPAIR
APPLICATION
June 23-27, 2025

Workcamps are intensive one-week trips that help people grow in Christian faith through service. Individuals and youth from around the country will spend one week in our community performing hands-on home-repair projects for elderly, low-income, and disabled families. The work at each home will be done by five young people and at least one adult leader representing many Christian denominations.

Both labor and materials are free to qualifying households. To learn how your home might be included, please complete this confidential application and return to the address below where it will be reviewed and considered for the program. Not all applicants are guaranteed that they will be included in the workcamp and will be notified by mail of their status for consideration.

PURPOSE

The Program is designed to help income-eligible resident homeowners in the County of York by providing financial and technical assistance for necessary home repairs including, but not limited to, replacement of roofing and heating systems, major electrical, major plumbing, sewer/water hookups, replacement of septic systems, and Senior Safe/ADA modifications. The Program does not provide assistance for repairs that are of a cosmetic nature, or for regular maintenance and upkeep of a property

The Planning Meeting scheduled for Monday, January 20, 2025 has been cancelled.  Borough Council will reconvene on Monday, February 3, 2025 @ 6:30pm.

2025 Borough Council  Meeting Dates

The regular monthly meetings of the Wrightsville Borough Council is held on the first Monday of each month at 6:30 pm, providing it is not a legal holiday. Planning meetings of the Wrightsville Borough Council are held on the third Monday of every month at 6:30 pm. All meetings are held in Council Chambers located at 601 Water Street, Wrightsville, PA 17368.
